About Josh Krasner

My name is Joshua “Josh” Krasner.  I have over 25 years of experience practicing labor and employment law.  During that time, I have represented clients in cases involving unpaid overtime and minimum wage violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) as well as failure to pay claims under the North Carolina Wage and Hour Act.  I currently represent clients in collective action and class action litigation concerning rights asserted under North Carolina and federal laws governing the payment of wages.

I also have substantial experience in other areas of employment litigation including race discrimination, sex discrimination and sexual harassment, age discrimination, disability discrimination and claims related to the Family and Medical Leave Act.

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Wake Forest School of Law.  While at Wake Forest, I was a member of both the Law Review and the Moot Court Board.  After graduation, I served as a law clerk to the Honorable I. Beverly Lake, Jr., former Justice and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

Prior to joining Barrett Law Offices to focus on representing individuals, class actions, executives and selected employers, I gained experience working for several defense firms including one of the country’s largest law firms specializing in employment law and was selected as one of North Carolina’s Legal Elite in the area of employment law in multiple years.
